My background:
The first time you use the machine, lawn has never mowed before.
Experience:
Assembly is simple, straightforward and succint. After assembly, took it out for a test drive. I came across my lawn mowing and had the need to cut some of its neighbors my lawn with it just because it was so fun. It has 3 settings high medium and low. High setting was already quite low. The blade was clean cut and managed to get a relatively smooth cut across the lawn. Using succinate was also a plus. No smell gas and is much less noisy than my neighbors behemoth. The grass is easy to detach and reattach. The steering wheel has a safety button that gets kind of annoying, because once you stop, you have to repress the button and start again.
Overall it's very excellent. It's a small mower with great potential. Although do not try to run this through the massive amounts of grass like a light saber. It will not work. Just take it slow and it'll do the job.
Highly recommended for first time buyer. Maybe second time buyers, if you are looking for something small.
Moe Joe had me over a year now and still going strong, but to stay out in the weather and otherwise abused. The Cut Joe is a good product, but is sabotaged by Amazon and unfair assessment for two reasons:
1. The Cut Joe 14 "has 12 motor amplifier. Amazon this clustering is a cable extension 16 gauge, despite the fact that the user indicates that for cable lengths extending below 100ft, a 14 gauge wire is required. 100ft lengths for one or more 12 gauge cable required (counters run backwards so that a smaller counter is a thicker cable). Trying to pull 12 amps of power through a small 16 gauge 100ft cable will burn off any electric motor very quickly. This is the reason for all these comments complaining about the engine die after a few weeks bother me. either through ignorance or cheapness people use an extension cord under par and blame it on the mower. Amazon could help by not recommend a cable that will destroy the engine .
Two. Electrical machines by their nature mower maintenance. Supposed to cut your grass regularly before you get so tall that lose small children in it. If your grass knee then borrow your neighbors mower gas and get it to a manageable level and then keep it maintained with your quiet, lightweight, electric machine. Even the powerful 12 amp motor on this mower will have big problems with out of control grass, including blade stagnation and premature engine failure.
In short, the Mow Joe 14 "is a great machine if you use it how it is designed to be used and do not abuse.
I use and recommend this extension cable:
